Under the direction of the Manager of Operations, the Service Desk Associate maintains the day to day operation of the computer system.
As part of this function, operation of on-line printers and any additional peripheral equipment is required.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Keys in source documentation when necessary.
2.
Operates all digital computer equipment, keypunching and verifying machines and other conversion or communicating devices of the Management Information Systems Department.
3.
Maintains accurate records of equipment utilization.
4.
Provides for control and integrity of all data files received, processed, produced by the Operating section, and reviews all input to ensure maximum quality.
5.
Implements operating procedures and techniques to improve efficiency of equipment operation and tracks the effects of those improvements.
6.
Performs preventative maintenance in selected computer equipment and base level problems diagnostic and repairs.
7.
Must be able to store program material data files and documents in an organized, accessible manner.
8.
Reviews, logs, diagnosis and takes steps to fix problems received from end users.
9.
Performs periodic preventative maintenance in printers, terminals and other MIS equipment.
10.
Is responsible for attending all annual mandatory educational programs as required by position.
11.
Employee understands and demonstrates the importance of satisfying the needs of the customer/patient by interacting with him/her in a friendly and caring way, being attentive to the customer's needs, both psychologically and physically, and by taking the initiative to maintain communication with the customer in order to provide a secure and pleasant experience with the Arnot Health 12.

EDUCATION:
High school or equivalent.
Basic computer systems courses required.
AAS degree preferred.
Comp TIA A
certification preferred.
Experience:
Excellent typing skills on a keyboard.
Knowledge how to copy/paste desirable.
Excellent customer service/telephone etiquette.
Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft programs (Windows, Office, Browsers).
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
CARDIOPULMONARY RESUSCITATION (CPR) REQUIREMENTS:
No CPR required.

Is analytical and grasps technical details easily.
