Provide support to the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS)/AWARDS infrastructure, ensuring the system is operating smoothly and properly configured, delivering all necessary functions to participating agencies.
Provide training to all HMIS users.
Specific Duties:
Maintains and administers HMIS/AWARDS computer network and related computing environments, including computer hardware, systems software, applications software, and all configurations.
Support the Continuum of Care (CoC) agencies' using AWARDS i.
e.
handling help requests.
Maintain the standard that all Help Desk requests require a response within 24 hours within the work week.
Submit requests to AWARDS programmers as necessary to support proper maintenance and functioning of the AWARDS database.
Alert all users prior to planned downtime of the AWARDS database.
Compile a monthly report identifying division and program type as it relates to submitted Help Desk requests.
Plan and develop a user's training curriculum and supporting resources for all program types held within the AWARDS database.
Deliver the materials needed for the specified training using power point presentations, flow charts and other media as necessary to users within the AWARDS database.
Provide additional training to AWARDS users as required upon evaluation of data entry/data quality.
Record all training provided using the AWARDS training module to record dates, participants, and curriculum.
Provide a monthly report identifying all users provided training by division and program type.
Provide support within the AWARDS database as needed to Program Supervisors and Directors upon request.
Support the CoC agencies' HCBS, HUD and Medicaid managed care programs by being knowledgeable of funders regulations as it pertains to timeliness, accuracy, validity, and completeness in line with Catholic Charities Chemung Schuyler's and the NY-501 CoC's commitment to Data Quality.
Participate in the CoC committees as needed.
Attending Homeless Housing Task Force meetings in each of the five counties once per year.
Work with Quality Assurance and Compliance Officer providing reports and assistance within the AWARDS database when requested.
Adhere to policies and procedures of Catholic Charities of Chemung and Schuyler Counties.
Adhere to policies and procedures of the NY-501 Continuum of Care.

Qualifications:
Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) from an accredited university in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a computer related field.
Technical certifications and/or completion of technical courses a plus.
One to two years of current hands-on experience on a medium-sized network of servers and desktop systems devices.
A combination of education and experience may be substituted at the discretion of the Executive Director.
Additional Requirements:
Demonstrate ethical business practices, in conformance with all state and federal laws and regulations.
Work with minimum supervision and demonstrate attention to detail.
Understand the different types of software users and how to determine the training each one needs.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to read, write and interpret written documents.
Display a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments efficiently.
Conduct orientation and ongoing training for new staff and partner agencies remotely, onsite or in pre-recorded sessions.
Maintain a professional, customer service-oriented attitude with partner agency employees always.
Willingness to foster agency, department and program wide cooperation and teamwork through use of positive/constructive communication techniques.
Maintain absolute confidentiality of all records reviewed including client records, employee records and billing records.
Proficiency and experience with PC's and Microsoft office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Manage and prioritize multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously.
Ability to analyze and interpret data and to handle problem resolution, including those related to software.
Possess a valid NYS Driver's license and a driver's record considered acceptable by agency and insurance carrier.
Continuous use of a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle.
Demonstrate full adherence to the CCCS Code of Conduct and all policies/procedures related to compliance.
